Canada Day Festivities in Burnaby and the Tri-Cities

There will be cake, there will be fireworks, there will be dancing and there will be singing. That right folks – there are some fabulous Canada Day events happening in Burnaby and the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam)  with tons of fun for the whole family:

Port Moody’s Golden Spike Days and Canada Day Celebration Golden Spike Days have begun and will continue over the long weekend at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. You will find tons of activities and entertainment including:

  • can can dancers
  • spike driving
  • entertainment stage
  • bricksforKidz
  • boat tours
  • cheerleader dunk tank
  • petting zoo
  • train ride for kids
  • rock climbing

On Canada Day, at approximately 1 pm, join Port Moody Mayor and Council for an official ceremony, refreshments, entertainment by the Inlet Jazz Band and a reading from the Centennial Youth Poet Laureate.

Coquitlam Visit the shores of Lafarge Lake and the Evergreen Cultural Center for a fun filled day of festival favourites!

Be sure to check out the many Coquitlam event activities from 12 pm – 10:30 pm:

Then head over to Castle Park, Castle Crescent and Citadel Drive in Port Coquitlam for an afternoon of fun:

  • opening ceremony and cake
  • community showcase including a bilingual concert with Will Stroet
  • tons of children’s activities

Village Museum hosts Burnaby’s Official Canada Day celebrations from 11 am to 4:30 pm on July 1. There are some great activities at this unique venue.

  • birthday cakes will be served at 3 pm

  • musicians including The Maple Leaf Singers
  • sword demonstrations
