With Family Day weekend sneaking up on us after yet another snowfall, I was wondering what the heck is happening this weekend and did some research. Here’s the lowdown on Family Day in the Tri-Cities as well as some great sounding Family Day celebrations in the surrounding area:

Port Moody Station Museum
February 13, 2017, 10 am – 2 pm
Cost: $10 per family
Make your own conductor’s hat
Hammer your name into the train tracks

Family Day Skate – Port Moody Recreation Centre
February 13, 2017, 12 – 4 pm
Cost: FREE admission and $2 rentals (limited).
Enjoy some time on the ice, then join us off the ice for a Gizmo the Clown magic show, balloon art, face painting, crafts, a bouncy castle and more!

Under the Big Top – Port Moody Arts Centre
Feb 11, 2017, 11 am – 2 pm
Cost: FREE
Check out the exhibition, take part in a workshop (carnival masks, circus crafts), face painting, meet our fantastic instructors, peek inside the studios and more.


City of Coquitlam

All members of the public will have full access to the leisure pool, main pool, hot tub, sauna/steam rooms and water slide during this four hour event.

Family Day Skate – Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex
February 13, 2017, 1:30 – 4:30pm
Cost: Free
Bring out the whole family and enjoy a free public skate. Free rentals.


Family Day at the Carousel

Family Day at VanDusen Garden & Bloedel Conservatory
February 13, 2017, 10 am – 4 pm
Cost: $5 admission for VanDusen & Bloedel; or $3 per single attraction
Celebrate Family Day with a visit to VanDusen Garden and Bloedel Conservatory! Create a bird feeder, find your way through a hedge maze, spot common birds in the garden, play games indoors & examine the functions of feathers under a microscope. Then warm up inside the dome at Bloedel Conservatory, get your face painted & enjoy up-close encounters with tropical birds.

Britannia Mine Museum
