Little chefs and foodies will adore a kids birthday party at Rocky Mountain Flatbread in Vancouver. My son and I were invited to one of their parties last week with a lovely group of local bloggers and it was all kinds of fun from the pizza making (and eating!) to the delectable chocolate brownies. We partied hard, and as you can see, it was a delight from start to finish:
The party leaders got the kids busy right away, making their own little chef hats and then, as a group, creating a pitcher of Shirley Temples from fresh fruit juices.
Pizza making was next. While all the parents sat back and relaxed with an Earl Grey gin or a glass of wine, the kids were led through flouring and rolling their dough, adding sauce, and choosing their own fresh, local and organic ingredients to load up the pizzas with toppings. And of course, watching everything bake in minutes in the fabulous pizza oven!
A party isn’t complete without dessert, and the kids were excited to make their own homemade ice cream, served with chocolately brownies.
