Canada DayWhat are you doing on Canada Day? If you live in the Tri-Cities and the surrounding cities of Burnaby and New Westminster there are tons of options:


Town Centre Park
12 pm – 10:30 pm
Celebrate Coquitlam’s 125 birthday with Coquitlam in a fun-filled day of festival favourites including a great entertainment lineup, food, adventure park, art and culture, learn about Coquitlam’s history, and a spectacular fireworks display… more


Port Moody Station Museum
10 am – 2 pm
Learn about Port Moody history – Take a tour through the trench exhibit, the Telegraph Society will be on hand teaching guests how to use the telegraph, and there will also be a colouring station, bubble area and games!

Lions Park
8-11:30 am
Lions Club Pancake Breakfast – Enjoy a great start to Canada Day with a delicious breakfast served by the local Lions Club. $5 for adults, $3 for children under 10yrs.

15th Annual Fishing Derby – Children under 10 are invited to test their fishing talents at this fun annual event – prizes and lots of family fun! Register on site.

Castle Park, Castle Crescent and Citadel Drive
noon – dusk
Tons of fun including opening ceremony and cake-cutting at noon followed by community showcase, children’s activities (laser tag! hamster balls!), international bazaar, food vendors, firefighters salmon bbq at 2 pm, plus evening entertainment (live music!) until 10 pm and fireworks at dusk…. more

It’s a party at the Burnaby Village Museum! Swanguard Stadium
Gates open at 5pm, concert at 6:30pm, fireworks grand finale at dusk.
Celebrate the spirit of Canada Day with a free concert and fireworks display. The event marks Canada’s 149th birthday and highlights include: top-notch entertainment; activities and exhibitors for the whole family.  Entertainment headlined by Canadian rockers The Trews. Joining them will be country/pop singer, Madeline Merlo along with Vancouver reggae band Purple Soul.


Queen’s Park
11:30 – 3:30 pm
