After our adventurous night out to the Bell Performing Arts Center, my husband informed me that he didn’t feel he really needed to go to every show this year so … that freed me up to invite my friend and her little boy to come with us to see Dare to Dream. The boys thought they would like to dress up for the occasion – they are so adorable!

The Dare to Dream show features three Disney stories – The Princess and the Frog, Cinderella and Tangled. I think it was a bit hard for my son to follow along because he isn’t very familiar with these stories but he loved the skating, costumes, lighting and especially the flying scene during Tangled which was pretty impressive. He said “Mom, how do they do that? I want to try that one time!”

For me, I especially loved the Cinderella segment – likely because that is the fairy tale I loved most as a child. Dare to Dream brought the story to life in my eyes – it was magical. The stepsisters were wickedly wicked, the fairy godmother waved her wand to make love come true and the glass slipper fit perfectly.

We had a lot of fun watching the show and enjoyed some treats too – popcorn, cotton candy and a couple of waters. I was very impressed with the staff at the Coliseum when I went to the counter to tell them that my son has spilled his bottle of water. They offered me a replacement no questions asked.

All in all, it was a great night out and we will certainly plan to go to the next Disney on Ice show next year!
